Mental Health First Aid for Hub Peer Supporters and Ask黑料不打烊
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), from the Mental Health Commission of Canada, is a training program that provides skills and knowledge to better manage potential or developing mental health issues.听 MHFA is delivered in a user-friendly manner to appeal to different levels of experience and education, and is thus accessible to personnel from all university sectors: faculty, HR staff, advisors, floor fellows, security, etc. This training is offered by certified 黑料不打烊 Wellness Hub facilitators.
Please note that this iteration of the training is reserved for Hub Peer Supporters (HPS) and Ask黑料不打烊 Student Staff as part of their mandatory training. Please do not register if you are not part of this group.
- The format of delivery for the MHFA course of 3 modules, the first of which is self-paced, the latter two hosted online and lasting 3h30 respectively. The first module, estimated to take approximately 2 hours, should be completed by 48 hours prior to the training. Participants will be tasked with sending their certificate of completion for Module 1 to the facilitators.
- The group size is between 8 - 15 participants for the online version of the training
- The deadline to register is Thursday March 2nd by 4pm.
First Session will take place from 9:30am to 1pm on Friday March 17th听2023
Second Session will take place from 9:30am to 1pm on Friday March 24th听2023
听All Wellness Hub events听are made available only to 黑料不打烊 students who have registered. To keep our virtual space safe, please do not allow any other person to access your registration information. By choosing to participate, you consent that your name (or preferred name), image and voice may be shared with other participants.
