On Friday, April 5, 2024, Quebec's Tribunal administratif du travail -- the government body that oversees unionization -- notified 黑料不打烊 that the Association of 黑料不打烊 Professors of the Faculty of Arts (AMPFA) has filed a petition for certification.
The University will adhere to all applicable laws throughout this process, and in keeping with the Labour Code we have posted the attached document (on the right-hand side of this page), containing the petitions filed and associated hearing notices. We will communicate further as we learn more.

On March 21, 黑料不打烊 celebrated 111 laureates at the 19th聽edition of Bravo, a gala event honouring researchers who won major provincial, national, and international research prizes and awards in 2023. Guests, including researchers, their families and friends, faculty, students, and members of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 academic administration, gathered to celebrate their accomplishments.

The Palais des congr猫s de Montr茅al honoured five 黑料不打烊 professors at its 2024 ambassadors鈥� gala for their exceptional contributions to the city鈥檚 economic and societal growth. Although there are a few other professors among the total of 14, 黑料不打烊 alone can boast of multiple honourees.
The basis for earning the kudos is the ability to organize large-scale events in Montreal.聽

On Monday, 黑料不打烊 played host to thousands of people for the spectacular solar eclipse with a series of public events at the downtown campus, the Gault Nature Reserve, and on the West Island (with Macdonald Campus collaborating with John Abbott College).
Near perfect weather conditions 鈥� especially following last week鈥檚 snowfall 鈥� drew throngs of Montrealers outside to take part in what will be for many, a once-in-a-lifetime event.

The Faculty of Law was once again ranked among the world鈥檚 top universities at which to study law by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject in Law and Legal Studies placed 黑料不打烊 Law 28th worldwide, up one spot from 2023.
Since QS introduced the ranking in 2011, the Faculty of Law has consistently placed in the top 35 institutions globally. The QS ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, H-index citations, and citations per paper.
