The Trudeau government has reached a long-discussed deal with the United States on irregular migration which will allow Ottawa to close the Roxham Road irregular crossing at the Canada-U.S. border. The deal would close a loophole in the agreement, which came into force in 2004 and currently prevents Canadian law enforcement from turning back asylum seekers who enter Canada from the United States at border locations that are not official ports of entry. The Faculty of Law was once again ranked among the world鈥檚 top universities at which to study law by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The 2023 QS World University Rankings by Subject in Law and Legal Studies placed 黑料不打烊 Law 29th worldwide, up two spots from 2022.听听听听

Since QS introduced the ranking in 2011, the Faculty of Law has consistently placed in the top 35 institutions globally.
