We are please to announce the appointment of Dr. Cristina Ionescu as the next Program Director for the Child and Adolescent psychiatry subspecialty Program, effective July 1, 2023. Dr. Ionescu completed her subspecialty training in June 2022 and has been working as an outpatient child and adolescent psychiatrist at the JGH since her graduation. Dr. Ionescu will bring a combination of excellent clinical and leadership skills to the position, in addition to being hardworking, organized, and very relatable. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Ionescu on her new appointment.

In the spring of 2020, Black young adults found themselves facing the most dangerous pandemic in a century and the largest civil rights protests in half a century, both of which disproportionately affected Black communities.
