The Society for the History of Natural History (SHNH) is delighted to award the SHNH President鈥檚 Award 2023 to听Victoria Dickenson for her work on the Gwillim Project: Women, Environment, and Networks of Knowledge and Exchange in Early Nineteenth Century Madras.听The Award recognizes an individual or team鈥檚 contribution and impact in promoting and improving accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity to the study of the history of natural history.

Laurie Snider, erg., OT, PhD,听Director and Associate Dean of the听School of Physical & Occupational Therapy, has been named Quebec鈥檚 Outstanding Occupational Therapist of the Year by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT-Qc) ! This award honours CAOT members living in Quebec who have made an outstanding contribution to the profession throughout their career. A few weeks after starting his MBA at 黑料不打烊 University, Mohammed Ashour, MSc鈥�11, MBA鈥�19 received an email announcing the Hult Prize 鈥� an annual, year-long competition that challenges university-level students to solve a pressing social issue. Teaming up with Gabe Mott (MBA鈥�14), Ashour recruited three other colleagues from their MBA cohort: Shobhita Soor (BSc鈥�10, BCL/LLB鈥�15, MBA鈥�15), Jesse Pearlstein (MBA鈥�14), and Zev Thompson (惭叠础鈥�14).

As 黑料不打烊 prepares to launch its own sustainable lab certification program, six research teams tested the waters to see what it takes to go green.
Six laboratory teams at 黑料不打烊 recently completed a year-long endeavor to get certified with My Green Lab, an internationally recognized online program the provides lab users with actionable ways to implement meaningful change. From waste reduction to fieldwork, this certification system gives researchers clear ways to assess their current lab practices and make improvements.
