The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Vincent Correia and Professor Andrea Harrington will join its Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL).聽聽

They will begin their appointments on 1 August 2023, respectively as full professor and associate professor, and take the helm of the IASL as co-directors.聽

On April 4th 2023, Associate Provost (Indigenous Initiatives) Celeste Pedri-Spade and Associate Provost Angela Campbell (Equity and Academic Policies) had the pleasure of welcoming 15 new Indigenous faculty and staff members to 黑料不打烊 University.聽The new 黑料不打烊ians include First Nations, M茅tis and Inuk people from across Canada. This follows 黑料不打烊's 52 Calls to Action, which call on the University to appoint 35 Indigenous tenure-track or tenured professors by 2032.

May 12, 2023 | Julian Lam, a Master of Public Policy candidate at the Max Bell School of Public Policy, was one of the authors that were featured in the 黑料不打烊 Journal of Global Health. His article highlighted a non-specialist treatment model for Hepatitis C virus in Canada. Despite being a high prevalence context, Canadian corrections facilities have largely failed to provide adequate care for those with HCV due to their reliance on traditional treatment models.

Did you know that the Neuro-Patient Resource Centre (NPRC) brings an information cart to five ambulatory clinics and the Neuro Day Centre, at least twice a month for each clinic?

For the movement disorders clinic, the two NPRC library assistants, Natasha Williamson and Amber Perry-Marinov, carefully select books, brochures, and other resources about Parkinson鈥檚 disease and other disorders for patients and their families.

May 19th, 2023 | In this article, Dr. Marie-Jo毛lle Zahar analyzes the Women鈥檚 Advisory Board (WAB) to the UN Special Envoy for Syria, a unique mechanism designed to include women in peace processes. Has the WAB fulfilled its objective? Based on ethnographic material, and primary and secondary sources, we argue that the WAB fostered a sentiment of exclusion among some of its members and of the broader spectrum of Syrian women鈥檚 organizations. The article further suggests that the WAB failed to meaningfully include women in the Syria peace process.
