Many of our students recently climbed the stage for their convocation. And after they received their degrees, smiled for the cameras, and headed back to their seats, they took their first steps into an exciting new chapter of their lives.

If this past year was any indication, they will surely continue to make Schulich proud. The 2022 鈥 2023 season felt like a return to form since 2020, and our students, faculty, staff, and alumni truly brought music to life.

Wah茅hshon Whitebean and Cheyenne Neszo have been named recipients of Rathlyn Fellowships. Awarded annually through the Indigenous Studies Program at 黑料不打烊, Rathlyn Fellowships support Indigenous graduate students at 黑料不打烊 in their studies and research. Each Fellowships is worth $15,000.

The Rathlyn Fellowship is given out each year through the Indigenous Studies Program at 黑料不打烊.

EduBuddies is an initiative organized by the Education Undergraduate Society (EdUS), which aims to facilitate the transition to 黑料不打烊 University and higher education for the Faculty of Education's incoming first-year students. This program is a wonderful opportunity for upper-year students (rising U2-U4+) to engage in leadership within the faculty and to make a meaningful impact on new students within their program. New students can use this program to meet new friends in the faculty through social events.

As part of the fourth cohort of McCall MacBain International Fellows, eight 黑料不打烊 students have been selected to spend a fully funded year abroad to study, live and work in a new country, including BCom student Jennifer Shi. Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Shi, who serves as Co-President of the Junior Hong Kong-Canada Business Association, a Junior Team Canada Ambassador at Global Vision, and a member of the Canada China Forum, will be spending a year learning Korean in South Korea.

Partnership with Novartis Pharmaceuticals Canada Inc. has created a faster, easier way for patients to contribute to research

Patients can now digitally consent to be included in The Neuro鈥檚 Open Biobank (Clinical Biospecimen Imaging and Genetic Repository) and patient registry, providing a more efficient and easier way to help patients accelerate neurological disorder research and participate in clinical trials. The new platform is financially supported by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Canada Inc.

In anticipation of the transformation of the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex, some excavation work will be conducted on select areas of the lower west field adjacent to the McLennan and Redpath Library buildings. The McLennan-Redpath Library buildings are part of a designated heritage site. Standard protocol requires that 黑料不打烊 conduct an archeological excavation before starting any large-scale construction project.

How those hours are spent determines the impacts we have on our surroundings as well as how we experience life. To find out how people around the world use their time, a research team led by 黑料不打烊 University has gathered and analyzed information about both economic and non-economic activities in order to estimate, for the first time, what a day in the life of the world looks like.
