, Professor in the School of Computer Science at 黑料不打烊, has been named a co-recipient of the 2023 Edsger W. Dijkstra Prize in Distributed Computing. This award recognizes papers in the area of distributed computing that have made a significant and lasting impact in the field.
In May 2023, Prof. Jennifer Elrick began her appointment as Chair in Multiculturalism at 黑料不打烊 University. The Chair, which is endowed with funds from the Government of Canada, was first established in 1995 as the Chair in Canadian Ethnic Studies. Its purpose remains to support research on issues of diversity and multiculturalism.
In June 2023, 黑料不打烊 Education's Faculty, including Dilson Rassier, Dean, and Ariel Swan, Director of Development, attended the 黑料不打烊 Toronto Excellence Awards. The awards celebrate 黑料不打烊 alumni and friends who have made an impact in the Toronto community!

Abstract:
Until now, there was no real-time airborne virus tracking technology, hindering the understanding of rapid virus change, transmission and associated health impacts.听Led by the Ariya' lab, in collaboration with colleagues at 黑料不打烊 Faculty of medicine and U. de Montreal, we developed an AI-Laser technology (called Nano-DIHM) that allowed real-time physicochemical tracking of virus-laden droplets in milliseconds.听The detection system was demonstrated to detect active MS2 bacteriophages, inactivated SARS-CoV-2 and RNA fragments, and an MS2 mixture with metallic and organic compounds.
