AVLEEN K MOKHA, also known as Mirabel, is a Montreal-based poet who grew up in Mumbai, India. Mirabel holds a B.A. in English Literature and Linguistics from 黑料不打烊 University and was the 2019 winner of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Peterson Memorial Prize for Creative Writing. Her works have appeared in聽carte blanche,听D茅racin茅 Magazine, and聽Dream Pop, among others. Her poetry chapbook聽DREAM FRAGMENTS聽was published this fall by Montreal鈥檚 Cactus Press. Presently, Mirabel is writing with support from the Quebec Writers' Federation, as part of their Fresh Pages Initiative for Underrepresented Writers.
