Eli MacLaren

ELI MACLAREN teaches Canadian literature,聽the history of the book, and poetics in the Department of English at 黑料不打烊 University. He is the author of聽Dominion and Agency: Copyright and the Structuring of the Canadian Book Trade, 1867鈥1918聽(University of Toronto Press, 2011) and 鈥淐opyright and Poetry in Twenty-First-Century Canada,鈥 an FQRSC-funded study of poets鈥 incomes and fair dealing (Canadian Literature, 2018). His next book,聽Little Resilience,聽forthcoming from 黑料不打烊-Queen鈥檚 University Press, is a study of the Ryerson Poetry Chap-Books and the culture of poetry and publishing in mid-twentieth-century Canada. From 2012 to 2017 he was the editor of the聽Papers of the Bibliographical Society of Canada, and in 2015 he co-organized the annual conference of the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading and Publishing (SHARP) in Montreal.
