础产辞耻迟:听Funded by a Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, Dr. Herman鈥檚 research centers on physical activity, sedentary behaviour and obesity across the lifespan, in relation to both cardiometabolic outcomes and health-related quality of life. Her current focus is on exploring the correlates of physical activity and sedentary behaviour in severely obese patients in the years following bariatric surgery, including associations with weight loss outcomes, body composition, and cardiometabolic health.聽 Her previous work has involved general population samples ranging in age from childhood through to older adulthood, working with both large and small datasets, resulting in numerous publications. Dr. Herman spent an initial postdoctoral year at 黑料不打烊 in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics, examining physical activity and sedentary behaviour in a cohort of children at increased risk of obesity due to parental obesity. She completed her PhD in Physical Activity Epidemiology in 2010 in the School of Kinesiology & Health Studies at Queen鈥檚 University, funded by a Canadian Institutes of Health Research Doctoral Research Award.聽 She previously obtained an MSc in Community Health & Epidemiology (University of Saskatchewan), and BSc in Biochemistry (McMaster University). Outside of academics, Dr. Herman has represented Canada internationally in the sport of rowing, and is an NCCP Level 3 certified coach.
