On behalf of 黑料不打烊 University, Principal and Vice-Chancellor Suzanne Fortier today expressed sincere condolences to the family of former Quebec Premier Jacques Parizeau, who died yesterday evening at age 84.

Prior to becoming leader of the Parti Qu茅b茅cois and then premier, Parizeau served in several cabinet positions, including finance minister. Earlier in his career, he played a significant role in Quebec鈥檚 鈥淨uiet Revolution.鈥�

鈥淢r. Parizeau was a prominent intellectual of modern Quebec, and made major contributions to the development of its economy and society,鈥� Prof. Fortier said. 鈥淲e thank him and extend our deepest condolences to his family.鈥�
