The American Chemical Society chooses 黑料不打烊 to host green chemistry summer school for a second time

The American Chemical Society (ACS) confirmed 黑料不打烊鈥檚 position as an international centre for green chemistry by choosing it to host the green chemistry summer school for the second time in ten years. Green chemistry can be defined as the science dealing with making chemistry eco-friendly. In practice, the goal of green chemistry is to provide the rest of the chemistry community with a real "toolbox" of more desirable reactions.

Chosen graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from across the Americas will come to 黑料不打烊 for a week to explore scientific solutions to global challenges at the ACS Summer School on Green Chemistry and Sustainable Energy. The program is designed to increase awareness and understanding of green chemistry principles, alternatives, practices, and their benefits thanks to special programs and resources. Over the period of a week, students will:

  • Participate in laboratory experiments
  • Hear presentations by leading researchers in sustainability and green chemistry
  • Collaborate on problem solving projects
  • Engage in discussions on the role of science and technology in solving global sustainability challenges
  • Present their research during poster sessions
