Code of Ethics

The Neuro as part of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ University Health Centre (MUHC) is guided by the Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics reflects the values and beliefs of the hospital and its staff, and covers the guiding principals of mutual respect, privacy, promoting open communication, preserving confidentiality and access to health information, informed care and treatment decision making, access to health information, and providing care in a compassionate and responsible manner.Ìý

Ombudsman

The NeuroÌýhas an ombudsman to assist patients and their families by investigating and helping to resolve complaints or areas of dissatisfaction. Patients and families should first discuss their concerns with members of their healthcare team, but if the issue cannot be resolved, they are invited to contact the office of the ombudsman.

The MUHC Users' (Patients’) Committee is a group of elected volunteers dedicated to helping people who seek care and services at the four MUHC hospital sites, as well as at the CHSLD Camille Lefebvre long-term-care facility.

The Neuro Cares Fund: We are here to help

The Neuro Cares Fund provides financial support for those in need by helping cover the unexpected expenses of being diagnosed with a neurological illness. Open to all hospitalized patients. Please contact your social worker to see if you qualify.
