Calling for submissions for the Fall 2024 edition of Radix magazine! This semester鈥檚 theme is 鈥渂eing/human鈥�. We invite you to explore the depths and dimensions of what it means to be human, from our greatest heights and triumphs to our lowest and most fragile states. We have formatted our theme with a deliberately disruptive slash as an invitation to challenge any straightforward assumptions one might have about what it means to be human. What defines humanity or inhumanity? Where do we draw the line between the human, the plant, the animal, the machine, or the divine? You might also reflect on the meaning and significance of 鈥渂eing鈥�. What does it mean to be alive, to be present, to exist? We want to know what each of these words means to you, separately and together.
Any current 黑料不打烊 student聽can contribute to future issues of聽Radix. We accept everything from illustrations to poetry to photography to short stories to finger painting, as long as it is respectful to all identities and all traditions.
