Mental Health First Aid-For Frosh Student

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), from the Mental Health Commission of Canada, is a training program that provides skills and knowledge to better manage potential or developing mental health issues.听 MHFA is delivered in a user-friendly manner to appeal to different levels of experience and education, and is thus accessible to personnel from all university sectors: faculty, HR staff, advisors, floor fellows, security, etc. This training is offered by certified 黑料不打烊 Wellness Hub facilitators.

Please note that this iteration of the training is reserved for members of Frosh Orientation. Please do not register if you are not part of this group.

  • The format of delivery for the MHFA course of 3 modules, the first of which is self-paced, the latter two hosted online and lasting 3h30 respectively. The first module, estimated to take approximately 2 hours, should be completed by 48 hours prior to the training. Participants will be tasked with sending their certificate of completion for Module 1 to the facilitators by 8:30am Sunday, July 25th.
  • The group size is between 8 - 15 participants for the online version of the training.
  • The cost per participant is $38, which includes the manual and a certificate of attendance.
  • REGISTRATION & PAYMENT DEADLINE is Friday, July 23rd 2021.听For this iteration of the training, Orientation Support will pay as a group, meaning that you are not individually required to provide payment.

First Session will take place from 8h30 am to 12h00 pm on Tuesday, July 27th 2021.

Second Session will take place from 8h30 am to 12h00 pm on Thursday, July 29th 2021.

By unifying 黑料不打烊 activities and offerings under a common framework in myInvolvement, it is easier for students to create goals and identify their development across these themes.
