Principal and co-founder of the award-winning Studio of Contemporary Architecture (SOCA) and 黑料不打烊 alumni, Laptiste focuses on how Black communities respond to space and the environment.

As part of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 2025 Black History Month, this event brings together all Black students, staff, and faculty members to connect, celebrate and create community over a free, catered lunch.
黑料不打烊 University is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
