The Therapeutic Value of Clowning Around

黑料不打烊 News recently published an article featuring Faculty of Education Alumni, Melissa Holland, BEd鈥98, the co-founder and co-artistic director of the Dr. Clown Foundation.

Her troupe of trained therapeutic clowns bring comfort, compassion, and plenty of laughs to hospitalized children and seniors in care facilities.

Dr. Kristy A. Robinson, ECP, Honoured with CPA President鈥檚 New Researcher Award

Dr. Kristy A. Robinson, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, has received the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) President鈥檚 New Researcher Award.

She will accept the award at this year's CPA convention in Ottawa (June 21-23), where she will also deliver an invited talk on her work.

This award recognizes the exceptional quality of her contributions to psychological knowledge in Canada as an early career researcher.

Dr. Tina Montreuil, ECP, has been recognized by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health as one of Canada鈥檚听Difference Makers.

This honour led to Dr. Montreuil鈥檚 selection as an expert witness, invited to present before Canada鈥檚 parliament on April 8, 2024.
