The 4th biennial 2025 黑料不打烊 Accounting Research Conference: Connecting different perspectives in capital markets will take place in person on 黑料不打烊 University鈥檚 campus on听June 6-7, 2025.

Building on the success of previous iterations of the conference in 2019, 2021, and 2023, the upcoming 2025 conference focuses on connecting different perspectives in capital markets. Specifically, it will connect research perspectives that focus on contrasting incentives in capital markets, namely between those who benefit from share price increases via 鈥渓ong鈥 positions (i.e., investors buying/holding stocks) and those who benefit from share price decreases via 鈥渟hort鈥 investment positions (i.e., investors shorting stocks). An innovation for this upcoming conference is the inclusion of a renowned practitioner who detects corporate fraud based on financial reporting to present and engage with academic researchers.
