Last year, after months of hard work and 'brandstorming', two 黑料不打烊 Desautels teams took the podium at the 31st annual L'Or茅al Brandstorm competition, competing against top teams from across Canada! Madison Laxer and her fellow Master of Management in Retailing (MMR) teammates, Aditi Bali and Supreet Kaur, took third place. Madison reflects on her experience participating in the case competition and how it even led to an internship.

Registration for the 10th and final HBHL Graduate Student Fellowships Program is now open!

Since 2017, HBHL has awarded over $6.7M to fund 321 Fellowships across nine competitions. The HBHL Graduate Student Fellowships Program seeks to attract, train and retain top graduate students from diverse disciplines and around the world to participate in interdisciplinary research training opportunities in brain and mental health research, knowledge translation/mobilization and innovation.

Exoplanets, planets located beyond our Solar System, captivate both scientists and the public, holding the promise of unveiling diverse planetary systems and potentially habitable worlds. Despite being very much not like our Earth, large gas giant planets found very close to their stars have proven to be ideal test targets for telescopes like the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) to refine astronomers鈥 methods of understanding exoplanets.

Book Review on Yoga for a Happy Back, one of the many books available in our collection

"The author really demystifies the body's muscles and their functions while she walks you through various yoga positions for pain relief" said a staff member at Neuro-Patient Resource Centre. "For instance, she explains the anatomy of the core before delving info core-strengthening exercises. The book also includes many instructional photos and graphics, all of which I found helpful."

Research + Innovation (R+I) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Lara Khoury of the Faculty of Law as Associate Vice-President, Research (AVPR). Professor Khoury鈥檚 three-year term began on January 1, 2024. She succeeds Professor Debra Titone, Full Professor in the Department of Psychology and Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Language & Multilingualism, who has served in the role of AVPR since 2021.
