A recent study at 黑料不打烊 University provides new insights into how winter storms develop in the St. Lawrence River Valley, findings that could potentially improve the accuracy of winter weather forecasts in the region.
鈥淭hese findings are essential because even small temperature shifts, as little as one degree, can drastically change the type of precipitation, turning rain into freezing rain or snow,鈥� said Juliann Wray, lead author and PhD student in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences.听
