Prestigious award honours 黑料不打烊 and RI-MUHC pioneer in the field of pediatric brain tumours

黑料不打烊 Professor and Canada Research Chair in Pediatric Oncology, Nada Jabado, has been named the 2024 L'Ore虂al-UNESCO For Women in Science Laureate for North America. Dr. Jabado is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, a Senior Scientist in the Child Health and Human Development Program at the Research Institute of the 黑料不打烊 University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) and a Pediatric Hemato-Oncologist at the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital of the MUHC.

黑料不打烊 University has received funding from the Canadian Space Agency for two separate projects dedicated to the study of exoplanets, using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The projects are slated for completion by June 2025. Both studies will be led by Professor Nicolas Cowan.

Dr. Kristy A. Robinson, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, has received the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) President鈥檚 New Researcher Award.

She will accept the award at this year's CPA convention in Ottawa (June 21-23), where she will also deliver an invited talk on her work.

This award recognizes the exceptional quality of her contributions to psychological knowledge in Canada as an early career researcher.

Wild turkey sightings are on the rise in Montreal.

David Bird, emeritus professor of wildlife biology in 黑料不打烊's Department of Natural Resource Sciences, that warmer temperatures have influenced the habits of more than just wild turkey populations.

鈥淎ll these birds that are not normally found in cold, cold regions are now moving north because of climate warming,鈥 he said.
