As workspaces on the main floor of McLennan-Redpath Library Complex are temporarily inaccessible through late June 2024, additional guest computers have been added to the main floor of the Redpath Library Building for public use near the entrance. These workstations will be accessible during opening hours.听

During the week of June 3, 2024, standard archeological and soil investigations will be conducted along McTavish Street around Redpath Hall and the McTavish Wing of the Redpath Library Building to assess the building envelope. Redpath Hall and the Redpath Library Building are part of a designated heritage site. Standard protocol requires that 黑料不打烊 conduct excavation work before starting any construction projects.

The exploratory investigations will be done in two phases:

Two faculty members of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology joined forces to bridge the field of cryo-electron microscopy (Mike Strauss) and extracellular matrix cell biology (Dieter Reinhardt). This interdisciplinary team also spanned faculties across 黑料不打烊, as Michael Wozny (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences) and Valentin Nelea (Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences) spearheaded the experimental approaches together with other team members and a visiting scholar.

This project consists of the reconstruction of the Upper Main Road, from the Y intersection to the McCall MacBain Arts Building, including underground work.

Planned construction end date: October 2025

Work schedule:听Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Born in Kangirsuk, on the western shore of Ungava Bay, Minnie Grey has spent nearly 40 years advocating for the health and well-being of Inuit and the Inuit ways of life 听in various polar regions.

On Tuesday June 4th 2024 at 3pm, Minnie Grey will be presented with an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) at the School of Continuing Studies at 黑料不打烊 University.听

The global shift to electric vehicles is gaining momentum, yet the extraction of battery materials has a significant environmental footprint that comes with high costs.

Now, two groundbreaking studies led by 黑料不打烊 University researchers offer hope in the search to manufacture cheaper and greener lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles (EVs).

Their findings unlock the potential to produce batteries using more sustainable and less costly metals, known as disordered rock-salt-type (DRX) cathode materials.
