TISED Open Forum with Senate of Canada鈥檚 Standing Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources

The Trottier Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design () at 黑料不打烊 University鈥檚 Faculty of Engineering, is pleased to host, for the first time, the Senate of Canada鈥檚 for an open forum and discussion.

The committee would like to learn about our 黑料不打烊's carbon neutral activities, our role in the community and understand our research projects relating to the environment and natural resources. The senators will welcome this as an opportunity to interact with you to better understand the challenges, efforts and opportunities involved in transitioning to a low carbon economy.聽

We encourage students, faculty and community members to come and engage with the Senators!

Senate Standing Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources

This committee has undertaken a sector-by-sector approach to examining Canada鈥檚 transition to a lower carbon economy. Overall, the committee鈥檚 goal is to understand the scope of the issues, identify key questions and considerations, and make recommendations to the federal government on how best to achieve Canada鈥檚 emission reduction commitments in a way that is sustainable, affordable, efficient, equitable and achievable.
