The influence of Sirhindi; Waliyullah and his school; the Mujahidin; 1857, De'oband; Aligarh; Azad and Muslim participation in Indian nationalism; Iqbal; Pakistan. Pakistan constitutional and ideological issues; birth of Bangladesh and subsequent developments; Muslims in India since partition.
