Overview

Mathematics & Statistics (Sci) : Phrase structure, production, categorial and transformational grammars, with applications to fragments of English and French and to kinship systems. Machines for generating and recognizing sentences; parsers. Introduction to lambda calculus and type theory; logical form and Montague semantics.
