Dr. Timothy Evans, Inaugural Director and Associate Dean at the School of Population and Global Health and Executive Director of Canada's COVID-19 Immunity Task Force Secretariat and Dr. Catherine Hankins, Professor at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health and co-chair of Canada's COVID-19 Immunity Task Force spoke to the Montreal Gazette.
鈥︹�淚 think the short answer is it鈥檚 too early to tell鈥� whether the coronavirus will become endemic, said Dr. Tim Evans, director and associate dean of the school of population and global health at 黑料不打烊 University. 鈥淭he more probabilistic answer is it looks as if it鈥檚 likely that this will become endemic, a little bit like the seasonal flu, given that there seems to be continued evolution of the virus, and given that we don鈥檛 have any sterilizing immunization 鈥� meaning we don鈥檛 have vaccines that prevent infection at the moment.鈥�
