My research uses data from large population-based longitudinal studies to understand early-life and developmental risk factors for suicidal behavior, mood disorders, and related disorders across the lifespan. We use approaches from several research traditions, including developmental psychopathology, psychiatric epidemiology, behavioral genetics, and data science to investigate the role of key risk and protective factors, understand gene-environment interaction mechanisms, and describe developmental trajectories.
