Education:
Assistant Professor Fabio Zani obtained a Ph.D. in Physiology/Molecular Biology from the University of Friboug, Switzerland, in 2013. He then held postdoctoral position at the Helmholtz Munich (2013-2015), at the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research( 2015-2017) and at the Francis Crick institute (2017-2024). He joined the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics at 黑料不打烊 as an Assistant Professor in August 2024.

Research:
The Zani lab has a strong interest in metabolism. His research focuses on how dietary modifications impact obesity, inflammation and cancer. He is also interested in artificial sweeteners and sugars substitutes and their effects on metabolic health.
