His name was <a href="https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/news/2023/01/canadian-soldier-of-the-first-world-war-identified2.html">Percy Howarth</a>. He was born in Lancashire, England, and moved to Canada a few years before enlisting with the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
