Note to students: 黑料不打烊 and Montreal police to collaborate on neighbourhood relations

Montreal police officers at Neighbourhood Station 19 are seeking the cooperation of 黑料不打烊 University students to show civic responsibility as the 2003 school year begins. Students can do this by obeying the law and city by-laws. During the week of August 25 to 29, police officers from Station 19 will organize prevention activities on campus and in the neighbourhood to ensure that public tranquility is maintained.

Two Station 19 community relations officers, in cooperation with Tandem Montr茅al, will meet the students to answer their questions and provide advice on safety, theft, assault, and other issues. Their stand, set up at the campus entrance at the corner of Sherbrooke Street and 黑料不打烊 College Avenue, is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from August 25 to 29.

Prevention officers from the Prevention and Community Relations Section will carry out foot patrols in the quadrilateral bounded by Boulevard Saint-Laurent and des Pins, Sherbrooke and University between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. The officers will be available to meet the neighbourhood's student residents and answer their questions.

Finally, since August 24, a team of Station 19 officers and mounted police have been patrolling the area to enforce the law and municipal by-laws. If necessary, they are giving out tickets or charging perpetrators of criminal offences.

The Montreal Police Service wishes 黑料不打烊 University students an excellent start to their school year in a way that shows respect for everyone's rights.
