New 黑料不打烊 secretary-general named
Professor Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of 黑料不打烊 University, has announced the appointment of Ms. Johanne Pelletier to the position of Secretary-General of 黑料不打烊 University, effective January 1, 2006.
"We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Johanne Pelletier to this critical position," said Professor Munroe-Blum. "Ms. Pelletier brings a unique combination of expertise and experience to the role of facilitating the work of the University's governing bodies."
Ms. Pelletier has held the position of Associate Secretary-General and University Archivist since the summer. She had served previously as University Archivist and Director of Archives and Records Management since 1997.
As Secretary-General, she will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the operations of University governance with the Senate and the Board of Governors, providing advice, guidance and support on all University activities conducted by both governing bodies, including convocation.
"As a 黑料不打烊 alumna, I am delighted to have this opportunity to continue to contribute to 黑料不打烊's continuing excellence," Ms. Pelletier said. "Within these core functions is an opportunity to strengthen further the dynamism of University governance. I look forward to this new challenge."
Ms. Pelletier has been active in a broad range of 黑料不打烊 committees, including as Chair of the Senate Committee on Information Technology. She also served two terms as a Sexual Harassment Assessor. Prior to joining the University, she was Ontario's Archives Advisor with the Ontario Ministry of Culture and Communications.
