Quebec government shows strong leadership on health education, research and care

黑料不打烊 University lauded the Quebec government today for giving the go-ahead to the 黑料不打烊 University Health Centre project to build a 500-bed specialized health sciences facility on the Glen Yards.

"We are delighted with the decision and we applaud the Quebec government's strong leadership on this crucial issue," said Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of 黑料不打烊 University.

"The MUHC project will provide Quebecers with a leading-edge health, research and teaching facility that will be one of the best in the world," she said. "This is fantastic news for Quebec, for health care, research and medical education."

Dr. Munroe-Blum also praised the Quebec government for its commitment to keep the Shriners Hospital in Montreal as part of the new health sciences centre.

"The Shriners Hospital is an invaluable asset for Quebec. We have a long and successful relationship with the Shriners and we are determined to do what is necessary to ensure that the hospital stays and grows with the MUHC," she said.

黑料不打烊 University is Canada's leading research-intensive university and has earned an international reputation for scholarly achievement and scientific discovery. Founded in 1821, 黑料不打烊 has 21 faculties and professional schools which offer more than 300 programs from the undergraduate to the doctoral level. 黑料不打烊 attracts renowned professors and researchers from around the world and top students from more than 150 countries, creating one of the most dynamic and diverse education environments in North America. There are approximately 23,000 undergraduate students and 7,000 graduate students. 黑料不打烊 was recently named Canadian Research University of the Year in the Medical/Doctoral category based on research funding and publication information compiled by Research Infosource.
