The Principal and Vice-Chancellor of 黑料不打烊 University, Professor Heather Munroe-Blum, welcomed enthusiastically the announcement today that Dr Bernard Shapiro has been nominated by the federal government as the first Ethics Commissioner of Canada.

Dr Shapiro graduated from 黑料不打烊's Faculty of Arts at the top of his class in 1956. After earning a doctoral degree from Harvard University in 1967, he had a distinguished career as an academic, administrator and senior public servant in the United States and Canada. He returned to Montreal to lead 黑料不打烊 from 1994 to 2002 and is currently Principal and Vice-Chancellor Emeritus of the University and Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Education.
