New research will look at dairy welfare and technology

A new research collaboration at 黑料不打烊 University and the University of Quebec in Montreal will explore the role of artificial intelligence in promoting dairy cattle welfare.
It will be led by Dr.聽Elsa Vasseur of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Department of Animal Science and Abdoulaye Banir茅 Diallo of UQAM鈥檚 Department of Computer Science.
鈥淥ur research will allow us to assess how modifications to the cow鈥檚 physical environment and management impact welfare and longevity outcomes, and how the digital environment enhances end users鈥� abilities to improve the cow鈥檚 physical and psychological experience while giving new keys to the dairy industry for聽ensuring its sustainability,鈥� says Vasseur.
