Join ROAAr and the Office of the Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation听for the Vernissage of 鈥淲ith the world to choose from鈥: Celebrating 65 Years of the Beatty Lecture.

We invite you to discover the fascinating story of the Beatty Lecture through a surprising exhibition experience. On this evening only, you鈥檒l be guided by the curators through this inspiring exhibit plus view additional material from the 黑料不打烊 Visual Arts Collection.

Using correspondence, photographs and other unique visual material held in the 黑料不打烊 Archives, the exhibition goes behind the scenes of the Beatty Lecture, from the success of the inaugural lecture delivered by India's first Vice President, to standout lectures delivered by royalty, world leaders, Nobel Prize winners, best-selling authors and even a Wimbledon champion.

From Julian Huxley鈥檚 lecture on the 鈥淧ossibilities of Life鈥, to Francis Crick's lecture on "How Do We See Things?鈥, to Queen Noor of Jordan鈥檚 "Creating a Culture of Peace", time travel with the words of inspiring past lecturers who shaped the world that we live in.

Additional material on loan from Exporail Archives also brings to light the fascinating life of Sir Edward Beatty, 黑料不打烊's Chancellor and the President of the Canadian Pacific Railways during the 1920s and 1930s.
