New leadership appointment for Tina Piper

We are delighted to announce that Acting Dean Tina Piper has been named Interim Dean for the Faculty of Law. Her appointment was announced by Provost and Executive Vice-President (Academic) Christopher Manfredi on 28 February 2025.
Named Acting Dean on 28 January after the appointment of former dean Robert Leckey to the Superior Court of Quebec, Dean Piper demonstrated swift and effective leadership in guiding the Faculty through the early stages of this transitional period. Through this new mandate, she will lead the Faculty until a new Dean is selected through an Advisory process led by the 黑料不打烊 Secretariat, which is expected to conclude in summer 2026.
A law professor at 黑料不打烊 since 2005 specializing in intellectual property law and legal history, Tina Piper has been a key member of the Faculty's senior management team since 2022, serving as Associate Dean (Academic). She has demonstrated outstanding leadership and effectiveness in overseeing student services and the delivery of the Faculty鈥檚 renowned integrated BCL/JD program.
鈥淚鈥檓 excited to work with our Faculty鈥檚 exceptional faculty, staff, students, and alumni,鈥 said Dean Piper. 鈥淚 am humbled by the trust placed in me by President Saini and Provost Manfredi, and I look forward to continuing our efforts to cultivate legal leadership in the face of global challenges.鈥
