Call for Student Papers: 鈥淨ueer Approaches to Law, Justice, and Equality in the New Decade鈥

The Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism invites submissions of unpublished papers under the theme 鈥淨ueer Approaches to Law, Justice, and Equality in the New Decade鈥. We encourage a diversity of topics and perspectives.

Selected papers will be presented at the Martine Roy Student Colloquium 鈥 tentatively scheduled for April 1, 2020 鈥 and one writer will be chosen to receive a prize in conjunction with the inaugural Michelle Douglas Lecture. The lecture will be delivered by , a Canadian LGBTQ rights activist and civil servant.

Papers should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words in length, not including bibliographies and footnotes. Please use a standard font in size 12 and one-inch margins. Citations should comply with the Canadian Guide to Uniform Legal Citation.

Please include an abstract of no more than 300 words with your submission. Writers are welcome to submit papers and abstracts in either English or French.

Participation is open to all 黑料不打烊 law students, including graduate students. Please submit papers, abstracts, and all questions to the Centre at chrlp [at] mcgill.ca (with the subject line 鈥淢artine Roy Student Colloquium鈥) by March 1, 2020.
