Are you curious to learn more about Canadian workplace culture? Then this talk is for you.听

Matt Adolphe, an international communication expert, will share some unwritten rules of the Canadian workplace and address:

  • why certain behaviours don鈥檛 work in the Canadian workplace
  • what your boss really means by 鈥渃an you do me a favour?鈥
  • why it鈥檚 not all about work at work, and
  • how building relationships can lead to a promotion

Matt Adolphe, B.A., M.A.

Matt Adolphe teaches writing and communication courses at various post-secondary institutes, including the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, and SAIT.听 At SAIT, he teaches a variety of leadership and professional communication courses online. He holds a B.A. in Indigenous Studies and History from Laurentian University and an M.A. in Communication Management from the University of South Australia. Beyond teaching, his professional life has been punctuated with experiences as a political organizer, volunteer, career coach, consultant, actor, radio DJ, studio musician, speechwriter, and media presenter (the first English-speaking TV news presenter in Macao). Moreover, he is the author of two books: and听Both books are aimed at helping people achieve success in their careers.
