In collaboration with the Student Involvement Program Assistant, Volunteer Team Leaders make sure that students registered to volunteer for a Days of Service event are made welcome, given the information they need for their role, and thanked for their contribution. They must, among other tasks, meet and guide volunteers to the venue, keep track of attendees, and maintain contact with student participants to ensure a safe and successful activity. They collect and communicate valuable information to the Student Involvement Program Assistant and the community partner, and actively work to spread the word about other volunteering initiatives.Ìý

Days of Service is a new initiative offering short volunteer placements on campus and in the greater Montreal community. It is designed to be a fun, social way to connect students with their peers while having a meaningful impact within the community that does not require a long-term commitment. To participate, student volunteers need to meet the requirements of the host organizations. Placements revolve around three main sectors: environment, vulnerable populations, and community development.
