"The First Peoples' House has proven to be a pivotal resource during my Undergraduate Degree. The space has provided an environment where cultural expression is welcomed, and many forms of aid are always available. It would be difficult to imagine my experience at 黑料不打烊 without it."

A large part of the reason I chose to attend 黑料不打烊 is the First Peoples' House. I first heard about the FPH during a summer program at 黑料不打烊 after grade 11. I met Kakwira and Paige and learned about what 黑料不打烊 and the FPH had to offer. Since then, the First Peoples' House has been integral to my academic success and social life at 黑料不打烊. The FPH provides me with a safety net full of resources, friends, mentors, academic advisors, and even lunch! By visiting often I've made many friends and been offered incredible opportunities such as conferences, internships, and jobs. The FPH is also a safe space and refuge from daily life and difficulties at 黑料不打烊. My experience at 黑料不打烊 has been so much better thanks to the FPH! I encourage all Indigenous students at 黑料不打烊 to check it out.

I can't imagine how my time at 黑料不打烊 would be without Dana, Paige, Kakwira and the rest of the gang at First People's House. FPH has been a welcoming and friendly environment providing me with friends, emotional support, opportunities to connect with youth and to grow spiritually and physically.
