Dr. Samaha completed his undergraduate studies at 黑料不打烊 University, and went on to earn his medical degree with Honors from Queen鈥檚 University in Ontario in 1996. He then returned to Montreal for his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery at 黑料不打烊 University, which he finished in 2001. During his residency, Dr. Samaha also earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree. Following residency, he underwent fellowship training at Harvard Medical School鈥檚 Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Rhinology (Nasal and Sinus surgery). After joining the faculty in 2002, Dr. Samaha obtained additional training in Facial Plastic surgery.

Board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in both Canada and the United States, Dr. Samaha also earned certification by the American Board Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, becoming double board certified in two specialties.

Dr. Samaha is very involved in the department鈥檚 teaching program. Residents complete their facial plastic surgery rotation in his surgical center. In addition,聽 he directs and teaches the yearly 黑料不打烊 Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery course, which is the principal Canadian course in the specialty, grouping faculty from all Canadian programs, and an audience of residents and practicing physicians from across Canada and internationally.聽 His additional聽 teachings activities聽include聽lectures, clinical teaching and supervising resident research projects. He was awarded the 鈥淏est Teacher Award鈥 for excellence in teaching in the 黑料不打烊 Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. This award, voted on by the residents of the department, was awarded twice to Dr. Samaha.

Dr. Samaha takes part in humanitarian surgical missions to Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Myanmar) and the West Indies twice yearly, performing reconstructive surgery and teaching local surgeons and residents.

He serves on the board of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as the Secretary and Treasurer; has served on the executive of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology in different positions and has also been associate editor of the Journal of Laryngology and Otology (UK) since 2008.

Dr. Samaha is regularly invited speaker at several international meetings and continues his involvement in presenting and holding workshops at local and national meetings. He has authored teaching videos on advanced surgical techniques which have become widely used as a guide and learning resource by residents and practicing surgeons.

His clinical and surgical聽activities take place at his surgical center聽and consist of rhinoplasty and rejuvenation surgery (Facelift, Forehead lift, Blepharoplasty, Neck lift), along with various other procedures (chin implants, lip lifts, etc.) and non-surgical treatments, such as Botox and skin fillers. His research interests include technical innovations in facial plastic surgery, outcomes and satisfaction measures in facial plastic surgery.
