Congratulations to 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Indigenous Vanier Scholars: Michelle E. Smith (DISE), Wah茅hshon Shiann Whitebean (DISE), and Iris Kahtehr贸n:ni Stacey (Education)

On July 15, the federal government announced the newest cohort of Vanier Canada Graduate Scholars. Of the 26 黑料不打烊 Vanier recipients, two are Indigenous scholars, Jeremy Desjarlais and Michelle Smith.

As President of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), ECP's Dr. Ada Sincacore was interviewed by CBC about the need for better EDI practices to encourage more diversity among psychology professionals.

"The CPA recognizes that there is a problem of representation within the profession and that we need to increase representation, as well as literacy about diversity," said Sinacore.

DISE Professor Bronwen Low and Second Year B.Ed Student Jana Naguib Featured in Our Schools/Our Selves

In the latest issue of Our Schools/Our Selves, two articles were published related to Law 21.

One is a first person account written by second year B.Ed student Jana Naguib on her feelings about the Law as a Teacher Education student who wears hijab.

The other, co-authored by DISE Professor Bronwen Low and colleagues with the OFDE, reports on the findings of a province-wide survey on the impact of Law 21 on faculties of education.
