An introduction to key considerations in professional engagement with Indigenous Peoples in Canada, including First Nations, M茅tis, and Inuit peoples. In the pursuit of professional careers in education, counselling, research, and other sectors, students will learn to respectfully engage and work with Indigenous populations in a culturally safe manner that strives to be consistent with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada鈥檚 calls to action.

Faculty of Education Statement: Victims of the Kamloops Residential School
On behalf of the members of 黑料不打烊 Faculty of Education, we mourn the tragic loss of 215 Indigenous children who were found in a mass grave at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, British Columbia. Karissa Leduc, a PhD candidate in the Human Development Program supervised by Dr. Victoria Talwar, has won the competitive Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Child Psychology Graduate Student Fellowship from the American Psychological Foundation.
This prestigious fellowship is awarded to promising young scholars to pursue innovative research in the area of child psychology.
