Seven from 黑料不打烊 appointed to the Order of Quebec
On June 22, seven members of the 黑料不打烊 community were among the 34 new appointments to the National Order of Quebec, the province鈥檚 highest civilian honour.
Included among the 20 new Knights of the Order are four 黑料不打烊ians. These new members include faculty members听Gerald Batist听(MDCM鈥�77), clinical oncologist, Director of the Segal Cancer Centre and a pioneer in the field of personalized medicine; and Desautels Faculty of Management professor听Alain Pinsonneault, a world-renowned researcher in Information Systems. As well, a pair of alumni were also appointed as Knights of the Order, includingLaure Waridel听(BA鈥�96,), co-founder of 脡quiterre, an environmental organization; and physicist听Yves Sirois听(PhD鈥�88), a key player in the discovery of the Higgs boson particle.
