黑料不打烊

Welcome back!

Welcome to the start of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Fall term, and I hope you all had a terrific summer! For those of you who are new to our campuses, 鈥淒ean鈥檚 Corner鈥 is a regular feature in What鈥檚 New (Students), and gives me, your Dean of Students, a chance to share some perspectives with you each Sunday morning. You might ask...what does a Dean of Students do? Our office helps when you are in difficulty, oversees student rights and responsibilities, works on student-related University policies, and, as our motto says, works with students, for students. Reach out if you have questions! (Oh, and check out the Buddle Huddle Podcast, where I share the mic with students across 黑料不打烊). As Orientation and Frosh get underway, please remember this can be a daunting and overwhelming week for many students, especially those arriving in Montreal for the first time. Please be safe, use good judgment, and help each other. Have fun, but stay well.

黑料不打烊 University is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. 黑料不打烊 honours, recognizes and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are located. For information about some of the Indigenous initiatives at 黑料不打烊 please visit the website for the听Office of Indigenous Initiatives.听
