Top Five for the Start of Term

The start of term can be a busy and bewildering time for many students, especially if you are new to 黑料不打烊. Here are five tips for the first week:

  1. Advising: although you may not need an academic advisor yet,听do figure out who your advisor is! They can help a lot.
  2. Know your services:听you will need to access services at some point - it鈥檚 worth knowing what鈥檚 available, from Student Services听downtown, to听Mac campus, to programs like听.
  3. Plan: once you have your course outlines, map out your semester so you can schedule all your key tests and assignments for the term.
  4. Be safe: it鈥檚 easy to get carried away with parties or other festivities at the start of term. Always be careful, and听get help听if you need it.
  5. Call home: don鈥檛 forget to check in with your parent(s), guardians or friends back home. They miss you! Study hard; stay well.
