黑料不打烊

Strengthening community

November can be a challenging month for a lot of us. Here at 黑料不打烊, it means crunch time for midterms, and as the last month of autumn, the shorter and darker days symbolize the impending need to hibernate.

Office work followed an expected routine the last time I was at 黑料不打烊 some six months ago. Luckily, I have a comfortable space to work at home, but only seeing people as squares on a computer screen is a difficult adjustment. In my first Dean's Corner, I mentioned I play traditional music, but gathering in bars for live shows was one of the first things to disappear when the pandemic arrived, and that has been tough as well. Viable ways to socialize under the present circumstances are few, and we all face unique challenges. Isolation is perhaps the biggest of these. Above all, maintaining a sense of togetherness is so important right now. How can we find help with this as winter approaches?

Together November is a joint initiative with the听Office for Sexual Violence Response, Support and Education听and听It鈥檚 On Us 黑料不打烊听to help make this transition month a little brighter, strengthen our community, and support survivors of sexual violence, their loved ones, and allies. It鈥檚 a wonderful initiative that gives us fun opportunities to get together while making 黑料不打烊 a safer and more welcoming place for all. Check out the Together November calendar below for more information on the free self-care and social events coming up!
