TEF CANADA and TEFaQ are French proficiency tests recognized by the Minist猫re de l'Immigration de la Francisation et de l'Int茅gration (MIFI) for the CSQ (Certificat de s茅lection du Qu茅bec) and by the CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) for federal immigration applications and in the citizenship application process.
听
They are also recognized as proof of language level by universities, C脡GEPS, various professional associations and many employers.
听
In general, the requirements of the Ministry of Immigration are:
- Canadian Citizenship: listening and speaking for the TEF Canada and TEFaQ.
- Federal Canadian Immigration: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing and speaking during the same session of TEF Canada
- Immigration Quebec: Listening comprehension and Speaking tests are mandatory in the same, or multiple, sessions. Writing and Speaking tests are at the discretion of the TEFAQ candidate.
Candidates must respect a 30-day wait period between two test registrations regardless of the test location. If this 30-day period is not met, the registration will be cancelled.

Please note that the test center is not authorized to provide information regarding the type and number of assessments you must complete, as these requirements vary from candidate to candidate. It is your responsibility to select all the assessments you may need.

These tests contains five (5) sections/ evaluations:
- Oral Comprehension (40 minutes)
- Oral Expression (15 minutes)
- Written Comprehension (60 minutes)
- Written Expression (60 minutes)
- Vocabulary and Structure (30 minutes)*

After registration is closed, we will first validate all registrations and then create the test schedule. Since not all candidates register for the same combination of tests, we create a specific schedule for each candidate. All test events must take place between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. We always schedule the various test items so that there is little or no waiting time between them.
Each candidate's test schedule will be communicated to them 3 days prior to the test date and cannot be changed.

Attestation
The TEFAQ and TEF CANADA candidates will receive an email giving them access to their electronic attestation approximately three (3) weeks after the test.
The multiple-choice questions for the Oral Comprehension & Written Comprehension and the Written Expression test components are corrected by the听鈥淐CI Paris Ile de France Le French for Business鈥�.听The Oral Expression test component is evaluated by a jury of examiners at the test center and may be subject to review. The Ministry of Immigration, Francization and Inclusion of Quebec has the right to ask for the verification of the TEFaQ results awarded by the CCIP.听

You can request听a verification听of your results by directly submitting your request to the CCIP within a delay of 90 days following the date on which the TEFaQ result attestation was issued. This process is initiated online at 听听and will cost 50 Euros. Such request should be processed within 4 weeks after the receipt of your application.
