Sebastien Betermier and David Schumacher (both Associate Professors in Finance) along with their co-author Ali Shahrad (Assistant Professor, University of Saskatchewan) have won the 鈥淏est Paper Using EUROFIDAI Daily Data Award鈥� in 2023 for their research paper titled 鈥淢utual Fund Proliferation and Entry Deterrence鈥�, published in the journal Review of Asset Pricing Studies.

In the contemporary agricultural landscape, interest in vertical farming is surging. This alternative to conventional methods can allow听farmer's to cultivate crops in compact spaces, maximizing output without expanding horizontally by instead cultivating crops in vertically stacked layers or inclined surfaces. Increasing land use efficiency is critical as the world grapples with limited arable land,听especially in urban areas.

Facilities Management and Ancillary Services recently completed the installation of new signage making single-stall washrooms on the downtown campus gender-inclusive, wherever possible. The installation of new signage for gender-inclusive single-stall washrooms at the Macdonald campus will be completed in the coming weeks.
This follows the adoption by 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Joint Board-Senate Equity Diversity and Inclusion Committee, in the fall of 2023, of an amendment to the 2007 resolution on Gender-Inclusive Washrooms. The updated resolution calls for:听听

The project consists of the renovation of room 334 and the installation of 261 exam desks. It includes the installation of lockers on the second and third floors.

The pandemic hit many businesses hard, and the artisanal bakery and caf茅 Mamie Clafoutis was one of them. Their seven locations in Montreal and Ottawa were forced to reduce their hours to one shift per day. As they鈥檝e emerged from the storm, they have sought ways to keep their costs low, and one of them is by automating checkout. Working with the Bensadoun School of Retail Management (BSRM), Mamie Clafoutis is sensitizing its clientele to the idea of self-checkout by stationing a single employee to oversee the process. But they have ambitions to become even more automated.
